Accredited by the Middle States Association using the gold standard protocol “Excellence by Design”
AZ Academy follows the California Common Core State Standards curriculum with a focus on reading, writing and mathematic expectations.
Student-to-Teacher Ratio
Pre-k & kindergarten – average 6:1
1st-4th grade – average 7:1
5th-12th grade – average 10:1
School Hours
Campus opens at 7:00am
Classes begin promptly at 7:45am and end at 2:55pm
Lunch Program
AZ Academy focuses on balanced nutritious meals and snacks, which are available each day for a fee.
Homework Guidelines
Requires minimal direct instruction from parents
Kindergarten-Second grade – 0-30 min/per night
Third-Fourth grade – 30-45 min/per night
Fifth-Twelfth grade – 45-90 min/per night
After School Program
After school care is available each day (3:15-5:30pm) for Pre-K-2nd grade students. $25/week ($1/min after 5:30pm)
AZ Academy Enrichment Center is free for 3rd-8th graders. Monday-Friday (3:00-5:30pm)
Enrichment Programs
Foreign language, technology, theater, art, music, physical education and other electives
Clubs
Drama, student council, golf, eco-club, and Boy Scouts. Programs may vary based on student interest.
