Lin Thomas

Pre-K – Kindergarten Instructor

Mrs. Lin Thomas has been a long time resident of St. Croix having arrived here when she was just 13 years old. Her family moved from Wisconsin to St. Croix so that her father could pursue his architectural career. Some years later, Mrs. Thomas met her husband in St. Croix. They were married and went on to raise 4 children, all born and raised in St. Croix. She is the proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren, three of who currently live on island.

This is Mrs. Thomas’s second year at AZ Academy teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten. Prior to this, she was the Lead teacher/ Coordinator of the Good Hope Country Day East End School where she taught Nursery, Pre-K and Kindergarten. Before the merger of the two schools in 2013, Mrs. Thomas worked for The Good Hope School running this satellite campus on the East End at Estate All for the Better for 31 years.

Mrs. Thomas holds a certificate in Inclusive Early Childhood Education from the University of The Virgin Islands. She is certified in Responsive Classroom 1&2 and the Reggio Emilia approach to Early Childhood Education. She loves working with young children and prides herself in offering them a nurturing environment in which to grow and reach their full potential. “Nothing without Joy” is her mantra.
